Superb covered sugar bowl from Maison Haviland, Empress Eugenie CollectionThe decoration of this collection was created by the designer Léonce Ribière for Empress Eugenie. Haviland interprets it in an eponymous table service of infinite delicacy. A crown of violets recalls the sovereign's taste for flowers and for the shades of blue, mauve and purple present in her toilets. The composition of the decoration embodies the Second Empire style, while the spiraling violet stems prefigure Art Nouveau.Diameter: 12 cmNear new condition, some micro scratchesMark on the reverse
