Ch.field Haviland & C. Parlon - "edith Pascal" - Dinner Service For 8 People - 43 Pcs
Artist: Haviland & Parlon
Rare and superb Limoges porcelain dinner service by Haviland & Parlon in the "Edith Pascal" pattern
Hand-painted, inlaid and double gilded with fine gold
Each piece is signed under the base
This is an antique set built up gradually over time. Some pieces have different Haviland markings depending on the period of manufacture. Please consult the photographs carefully to visualize the different signatures present under the pieces.
Composition:
8 dinner plates - diameter: 25.5 cm
8 dessert plates - diameter: 19 cm
8 teacups - diameter: 8 cm / height: 5 cm
8 saucers - diameter: 14.5 cm
1 bowl - diameter: 23.5 cm
1 cake dish - length: approx. 35 cm
1 pie dish - diameter: 30.5 cm
1 teapot - height: 18 cm
1 milk jug - height: approx. 9 cm
1 sugar bowl - height: 9 cm (note: lid missing)
Also of note: among the dinner plates, 3 examples are of more recent manufacture and feature a slightly lighter sky-blue hue than the rest of the service. This difference is discreet but worth noting; please refer to the photographs.
It should also be pointed out that all the dinner plates have an external gilding pattern slightly different from that observed on the other pieces of the service. Please refer to the detailed photographs.
Condition:
Overall very well preserved.
no chips;
no cracks;
no hair;
some light gilding wear on some pieces;
some wear scratches on the basin of some plates;
some pieces appear to have been used very little, if at all;
others show only very light wear related to time.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and complete the detailed condition of the set.
