Solid silver tripod coffee pot with twisted ribs. The swollen belly in its lower part, it is mounted on three cast and added feet, the attachments of which are made of generous foliage. The covered spout in the shape of a base is richly decorated with an asymmetrical decoration of leaves. On one side, a turned and molded wooden handle (some missing) is screwed and fixed in a plain baluster sleeve. On the neck, rests the swollen lid equipped with a shell thumb rest and mounted on a hinge, beveled in a frieze on its outline while a pine cone acts as a fretel. Micro-scratches of use and micro-dents of use, superb patina for this very high-class Italian jug. Hallmarks on the back of the jug as well as on the inside of the lid, on each of the feet. Monogram engraved under one foot with the initials G and A. Turin, 18th century, assayer Giuseppe Vernoni Height to the finial: 27.5 cm / 10.83 in. Sterling silver weight: 1000 gr.
