Bronze Inkwell By Lorenzo De Medici
Beautiful inkwell in green marble veined with white representing Lorenzo de Medici Duke of Orbino called the magnificent (1492/1519) after Michelangelo in the funerary chapel of the Medici family in Florence. Stamp of his brothers and signature on the side Michelangelo. Brass frieze. The glasses are missing in the inkwells and there is a lack of marble in front on the left which is not visible when it is placed (see photo).
