"Fred Pailhes Art Deco Gouache Le Havre Bar Prostitute Normandy"
Gouache and watercolor by Fred PAILHES, Norman painter, born in Le Havre in 1902 and died in 1991. This painter represented the daily life of humble people, fishermen, prostitutes, people from the circus world. He added a touch of humor in his paintings. The scene takes place in a restaurant, it represents very made-up women dressed in the fashion of the 30s, perhaps prostitutes, at the table of a man who turns his back and seems old. An old woman with the appearance of a witch offers them flowers. This gouache is signed lower left and dated 29 for 1929. It is "in its own juice", with a varnished wooden frame and a glass. Format with the frame: 49 cm x 41 cm. Price of sending in France by registered Colissimo with insurance: 20 €. Contact me for the price of sending in Europe.
