Object description :

"H/t Bust Portrait Of Franz Schubert By Charles Fournier"
Beautiful bust portrait of the Austrian composer Franz Schubert signed lower left by the painter Charles Fournier (1803-1854) and dated 1839. The composer's face has been remarkably treated by the finesse of his features and the realism of his gaze through his glasses. Franz Schubert is probably sitting at his work table because we can see to the right of the painting some books as well as sheets of paper and a quill. Relined work. Superb original gilded frame, (114 x 95) key mounting.
