Elegant portrait of a woman of the nobility or the bourgeoisie from the Charles X period, around 1825 - 1830. It is very finely painted and of a high quality of execution. This young woman sports the hairstyle fashionable under Charles X, the hair tied up in a bun on the head, the dress with exaggeratedly voluminous balloon sleeves and the high waist emphasized by a rich embroidered belt. This painting has been relined. It is in excellent condition, ready to be hung. Format: 65.50 cm x 54.50 cm.
