Magnificent pair of large porcelain vases from Mehun-sur-Yèvre by Charles Pillivyut. This is a relief paste-on-paste decoration entirely executed and painted by hand.
Slender clematis bloom on the belly of the vases.
Bees and butterflies are also part of the decoration.
The base is decorated with gold paste trellis in relief.
The background is gray enameled with slight pinkish reflections.
