Description:

Serge Belloni, known as "The Painter of Paris," devoted his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Day after day, in all weathers, he immortalized the ever-changing faces of the City of Light and the City of the Doges.

This fine painting transports us to Paris, offering a magnificent view of the Pont Saint-Michel, the Île de la Cité, Notre-Dame, and the iconic bouquinistes—bookstalls—along the Seine in summer, a rare subject for Belloni. He favored spending autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the city’s authentic architecture and soul. The rest of the year, he sought the unique light of Venice.
