"Art Deco, Period, Art Deco "
Art Deco silver and opal brooch – circa 1930 Superb brooch from the Art Deco period (circa 1930), made of chiseled silver and decorated with geometric patterns characteristic of this refined style. The rectangular setting with angular and structured lines presents reliefs and plays of volumes which underline all the rigor and elegance of Art Deco. In its center, the brooch is set with a magnificent cabochon opal of good size (1.8 cm x 1.3 cm), with changing reflections ranging from blue to pink depending on the light. This luminous stone provides a delicate and refined contrast with the worked silver. There is a slight inclusion in the form of a film inside the stone (see photo), without detracting from its charm or its brilliance. A signature engraved on the front remains partially legible but has not yet been able to be deciphered, adding an additional mystery to this collector's piece. Brooch dimensions: 3.4 cm high x 2.7 cm wide Opal dimensions: 1.8 cm high x 1.3 cm wide Gross weight: 15 g This brooch combines the timeless elegance of Art Deco with the magic of opal, making it a piece of jewelry that is as decorative as it is precious.
