Rectangular table, centered with a frieze dressed in opposing laurel leaves, supported by 4 female caryatids with crossed arms in gilded bronze.
Two rectangular uprights on either side decorated with various gilded bronze motifs connecting the band to the "H" shaped plinth, encircled by an urn with handles framed by two seated shinxes. French work in the Empire style, executed at the end of the 19th century, around 1870 - 1880.
The original model of this table was executed for the furniture of Caroline Murat's bedroom at the Elysée, made by Jacob Desmalter in 1808, then transferred to the Grand Trianon where it is preserved today.
