An important mahogany center table with a marble top, first half of the 19th century, France
The circular tabletop is made of fine Payolle Vert, an elegant light pink marble with deep green veins; the top is also trimmed in gilded bronze.
The band is decorated with gilded bronze stars, and the trefoil base is punctuated by finely detailed gilded sphinxes and rests on ebonized feral corbels, surmounted by a decoration of gilded friezes and palmettes.Dimensions: d. 105x h. 77,5 cm.
