JAPAN, INRO with five boxes in fundame lacquer Decorated in hira maki-e and kirigane with a landscape. Depicts a view of Lake Kawaguchi from where the Chureito pagoda can be seen between the mountains. Interior in nashiji lacquer with blown gold. End of the EDO period (1603 - 1868), 19th century. Ojime in red cinnabar lacquer carved with geometric patterns. Dimensions 11 x 6 x 3.5 cm. Small chips in the lacquer.
