Object description :

"Mahogany Master's Chair, Late 19th Century"
Miniature mahogany chair in the Empire style, with armrests and front legs shaped like winged lion protomes. The openwork backrest is decorated with two hunting horns and the rear legs are saber-shaped. The belt is decorated with rosettes and plant motifs, which are also found on the crosspiece of the backrest.

Masterworks are miniature pieces of furniture made by apprentice cabinetmakers as part of their training.

Good condition.
