Total length: 38.5cm - Barrel length: 22.7cm - Muzzle diameter: 12.5mm
Octagonal barrel, ribbed, slightly blued, rifled, with a wide groove on the upper face. It is decorated with two gold rings, one at the muzzle and the other at the breech. It is marked in gold letters, BOUTET on the left side and VERSAILLES on the right side, and bears the number 187 on the top. Saddle-mounted, gilded front sight. Marked with an A under the barrel.
The breech is made of marbled iron, engraved with scrolls, and bears the rear sight; the breech tail, made of marbled iron, is fitted with a guilloché screw.
Front lock, flat body, marbled, engraved with petals in a hollow background and scrolls; it is signed BOUTET à VERSAILLES. Hammer engraved in suite.
Counter lock finely engraved with a winged crowned head flanked by foliage.
Marbled iron trigger guard with lip and finger rest.
Stecher trigger.
Walnut mount, with short barrel, engraved on the butt. The blackened wooden cap is fitted with an oval medallion with stamped decoration.
Very good condition.
