In 1963, the meeting with the producer Jacques Canetti led Nicolas Treatt to photograph the main musicians and performers of the Parisian scene. It was during this period that friendships were formed with Serge Gainsbourg, with whom he shared the same Russian culture. The latter then entrusted him with the illustration of his album “Confidentiel” (1964). Recently discovered in the family archives, this photograph has never been revealed. The series from which it comes reveals the behind-the-scenes of the making of this major and minimalist album: from the composer's intimacy at work at home, to its recording in the studio.
