Depiction of a young woman resting in a meadow. Leaning on her hands, she leans her head towards a playful animal. The kid teases the girl by touching her face with its snout and offering her a picked twig.

Alexandre Pierre Morlon (1878 - 1951) - French sculptor and medalist. Graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he studied under the famous Alexandre Falguière. He exhibited his works at the Salons since 1900, enjoying a flattering opinion from the public. Several of his sculptures adorn the urban space of Mâcon.
