"Confident - You And Me Directed By Louis Durot 1990"
Confident - Toi et moi by Louis Durot 1990Louis Durot, born in Paris in 1939, is a French creator who is both a chemist and a designer, whose work is part of the Pop Art movement. Trained in chemistry, he discovered the potential of polyurethane in the 1960s, alongside the sculptor César, and made it the flagship material of his sculptural and furniture creations. His world is recognizable among all: organic forms, bright colors and a playful or provocative aesthetic. His furniture, on the border between art and design, is now exhibited in several museums, including the Vitra Design Museum and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Among his emblematic creations is the "Confident" armchair, also called "Toi et Moi" (4 copies), a double seat with a fluid S-shaped design, designed to allow two people to converse face to face without turning their heads. This model, designed in the 1990s, revisits the 19th-century confidant armchair in a radically contemporary interpretation, molded in polyurethane resin. Produced in very small series or to order, it is rare on the market. Discover all our other products on our website: www.llantiquites.com
