Extremely rare Empire period knife set with mother-of-pearl handles inlaid with an unnumbered rose gold crest. Set consisting of 11 knives with ferrules, bases and blades in vermeil (gold on silver). Each blade bears the 1st Title Hallmark (.950) called "Coq" and guarantee for PARIS 1809-19 and the Hallmark of the Master Goldsmith and specialty cutler Simon SALMON (Hallmark with the initials "SS" a penknife and a point on each side) received in 1807.
