17th Century Door Knocker.

Door knocker with its wrought iron plate. The plate has openwork decorations worked symmetrically (similar right side, left side) revealing monster heads. The knocker is ring-shaped from which two pairs of volutes escape outwards at the top and bottom and also two pairs of volutes inside. Mounted on a solid oak panel, dimensions 48 X 27 cm. Model of Swiss or Alsatian door knocker dating from the 17th century. Condition: good. I report two cracks on the plate visible photo N° 8.
