French school, portrait of a young woman in a lace bonnet, inscribed in an oval trompe l'oeil medallion, framed by roses and "suspended" by a blue ribbon rendered in an illusionist manner. Representative of this delicate and feminine charm of the end of the Ancien Régime, this small portrait painted in gouache on paper mounted on a wooden panel will not fail to seduce amateurs. There are some old holes probably caused by wood-eating insects. Later frame, but old and irregular glass. A small painting full of charm, dating from the 1780s-90s.
