Gothic Door Knocker, Wrought Iron, Lyre Shaped, Wolf's Head, 15th Century, Languedoc

House door knocker, found in Montpellier region, nicely forged double shape, upper ring notched with threads forming a staple that was folded back on back of wood, hammer forged with two branches, also notched on head, joining to form head of an animal, two ears, two eyes, a muzzle, open upturned mouth, dog or wolf.
This shape is typical of 15th century, and is inspired by nearby Spain.
I add small platine with fleurons which can be useful, dating from 18th
