Magnificent English tea/coffee spoon set, 19th century, by the famous silversmith Zachariah Barraclough & Sons. Hallmarked with a lion passant, 1st grade English silver. Zachariah Barraclough & Sons was founded in Leeds in 1805 and continued into the following century. Jewelers and silversmiths, they owned a shop at 54 Briggate, a busy shopping street in Leeds. In 1914, they became a limited company, with the word "Ltd" being added to their maker's mark. Admire the decoration and the fine carving on the inside of the spoons! A luxurious set, typical of the English charm of tea-time! Net weight: 60g
