"The Muse Of The Woods By E. Drouot"
A stunning bronze sculpture titled "The Woodland Muse" by the renowned French sculptor Édouard Drouot (1859–1945). This late 19th-century work embodies the elegance and symbolism of the fin de siècle. The graceful, semi-nude female figure stands on a natural rock base in a dreamy pose, playing a long flute. Her finely modeled body is partially draped in flowing fabric, accentuating the movement of the scene. She wears a wreath of foliage on her head, a subtle allusion to her connection with nature—a true woodland muse.
The sculpture is cast in dark patinated bronze, adorned with beautiful warm tones, and rests on a matching red-veined marble base. The signature "E. Drouot" is clearly visible at the base of the bronze portion.
