Emile Lecomte is a Belgian artist born in 1866 in Brain-le-Comte/'s-Gravenbrakel and died in 1938 in Uccle/Brussels. He was a painter. Trained at the Academy of Brussels under the direction of R. Viandier (1882-1893), at the Academy of Saint-Gilles. Mainly landscapes, but also painted portraits, figures, flowers, interiors. Realistic design, impressionist color palette. Was vice-president of the Cercle Uccle Centre d'Art for years. work at the Museum of Liège. Not to be confused with his French namesake, also a landscape artist.
