Superb reliquary cross in gilded brass and polychrome cloisonné enamel (blue, turquoise, white and red), presenting in its center a circular glazed medallion containing a precious relic of the True Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Ex Ligno S. Crucis DNJC).
Description
The relic is preserved in a small gold reliquary cross, sealed with red wax with threads, still perfectly intact, and protected by red velvet. It is accompanied by its authentic manuscript and print issued by Mgr Joseph-M. Castiglioni, Bishop of Aquileia and Patriarch of Grado (Italy), dated 1858, confirming the authenticity and licitness of private worship.
The cross is richly decorated with floral and geometric motifs in cloisonné enamel on a gilded background, in neo-Gothic style, and comes in its original case in black leather and red velvet.
A high-quality piece, rare for its state of preservation, its refined decoration and above all for the presence of its original document of authenticity, which considerably reinforces its historical and spiritual value.

Very good general condition. The authentic is slightly yellowed and stained by time, but perfectly legible.
Reliquary intact, seals preserved, original case present.
