Large 1900 Solid Silver Asparagus Shovel By Jean E. Puiforcat, Perfect, Art Nouveau Era
Beautiful asparagus shovel in solid silver by Jean E. PUIFORCAT. All the refinement and finesse of an era for this beautiful object in solid silver (Minerva hallmark 1st title) of beautiful quality. The shovel is delicately openworked with fine chiseling decorated with asparagus intertwined with acanthus leaves. We find the work of a great house, here the silversmith Jean E. PUIFORCAT whose hallmark "E and P with a feather in the middle is easily identifiable and identified on the object. The handle is decorated with floral motifs with fine bells. It is also hallmarked. Length of 24.5 cm, silver weight: 192 gr, circa 1880. Very beautiful art nouveau piece, great finesse!
