Woodcut With Biblical Scene From The Renaissance Period - 16th Century

Wood engraving matrix in Cormier, known as a woodcut.
Narrative scene depicting the Annunciation of the Shepherds: the Angel of the Lord appears to the shepherds in the fields to annonce them the birth of Jesus.
The matrix has been treated with a limewash to enhance the carved details.
On the reverse, a piece of cardboard has been affixed, which once bore information.

The object is in excellent condition, with no notable defects.
