HISTORY: Jean-Pascal-François NOREST was born in Dieppe on August 12, 1822. He entered the Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of the sculptor CAILLOUETTE (1790-1868) - he perfected the anatomy of the human body by following the teaching of the famous Doctor Auzoux (1797-1880). He attended the studio of the sculptor DAVID d'ANGERS (1788-1856) and the studio of the sculptor CARRIER-BELLEUSE (1824-1887).
