Georges Redon, 1869-1943, French genre painter, urban views, figures, nudes and flowers. Engraver, Cartoonist, Decorator. He was a student at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He debuted at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1903, he then exhibited at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Humoristes for his humorous drawings. He decorated several restaurants in Montmartre. He was especially famous for his humorous illustrations featuring children and Belle Epoque motorists wrapped in animal skins. Artist listed in Bénézit, Coté Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
