"Hopi "horned Crow Mother" Kachina Doll Circa 1930-1960"
Beautiful Hopi Kachina doll hand-carved from cottonwood root, hand-painted with traditional pigments and adorned with real feathers. It most likely represents Angwusnasomtaka, known as Crow Mother, a central figure in Powamu ceremonies, here in a rare horned variant. The two-tone face (yellow/black) with red beak, the zigzag-decorated side horns and the richly decorated skirt give this piece a unique character.
