Object description :

"Boxwood Christ - Crucifix - 17th Century Folk Art - 40 Cm"
Christ carved in boxwood, on the cross, with its pedestal. The cross and its base show old traces of worms (which are no longer active), but they are very solid. Christ is intact from these traces but has a slight slit from the chest to his loincloth. I am not certain that the arms are the original ones. Perizonium tied on the right, leaving the upper right thigh bare. Folk art of the 17th century. Total height 40cm
