Monumental Nude Painting With Two Lovers, Spanish Painter, 19th Century

This monumental nude with two lovers was painted in the last quarter of the 19th century by a Spanish painter.
The artist used impasto paint in places. The antique bronze plaque attached to the frame bears the artist's name: "Frederico de Madrazo." This same name appears on the old inscription on the back of the original stretcher: "... authentic Madrazo...".
As the work is unsigned, we cannot confirm its attribution to the hand of the few known Spanish painters bearing the name Madrazo. However, in our opinion, this magnificent work was indeed created by a Spanish painter.
