Curious Indo-portuguese Bible Box, Ebony Or Ironwood, 19th Century

Beautiful box from black solid wood, heavy, (ironwood or ebony…?) trapezoidal, with the curious convoluted shape of a book deformed from having been read too much, spine ribbed like a binding, hollowed lid, hinge and screwed brass lock.
I was lucky enough to find one from 18th century, engraved, this one is simpler, later too, probably late 19th century.
Handwork, nail mounting in this hard wood, good condition, probably not having been used.
Small drying cracks in wood, not serious
