Louis XIV Period Cartel Clock In Boulle Marquetry, Clockmaker Masson In Paris, 18th Century

Artist: Horloger Masson à Paris
Magnificent and rare Louis XIV period cartel clock in rosewood and Boulle marquetry.
This cartel is complete with its very richly worked lamp base.
Marquetry of brown tortoiseshell and brass forming a network of interlacing and foliage.
Very rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes in applique.
Under the dial two women and a cupid in bronze cut out symbolizing abundance and the arts.
At the top, renowned angel playing the trumpet.
The period clock movement works perfectly, it strikes the hours and half hours. It is signed Masson in Paris, a watchmaking dynasty from the 18th century.
Only the tongue and the balance seem to have been changed.
Overall in very good house condition, with some small losses and scratches normal for an object over 300 years old.
This large object is ultra decorative and leaves no one indifferent.
Louis XIV period, early 18th century around 1710-1720.
Delivery in a wooden crate on a pallet by carrier, on the ground floor in front of your home, 150 euros in France, 300 euros in the EU and 1000 euros rest of the world.
