Elegant bronze bust of a young Vietnamese woman by Nguyễn Thanh Lê (1919–2006), a leading figure of the École des Beaux-Arts de l’Indochine and one of the most respected sculptors of 20th-century Vietnam.

This finely cast work is distinguished by its rare original green patina, with rich nuances of verdigris and ochre that enhance the refined modeling of the face and the delicately rendered hair. The expression is serene and introspective—hallmarks of Nguyễn Thanh Lê’s humanist approach to portraiture.

The artist’s signature, in Sino-Vietnamese characters, is cast in relief at the back of the neck.
