A pair of 19th-century Neapolitan majolica vases. The vases, with relief decorations, depict mythological and grotesque scenes. Among the many, we note centuri with tridents in a fighting stance, the figure of Cadmus, considered according to mythology to be the founder of the Greek city of Thebes, ready to defeat the dragon, and a satyr intent on playing Pan's flute. The vases feature serpentine handles with nymphs at the base.
