The Ecce Homo ("Behold the Man") depicts Jesus being brought before the crowd by Pontius Pilate after the flagellation. Christ is portrayed with the symbols of the Passion: the crown of thorns on his head, the red cloak draped over his shoulders, and his crossed and tied hands holding the mocking scepter. The features are very delicate, and the expression on his face is extremely melancholy.
