The body of the piece is entirely lacquered in dark green and features gilded scrolls on both the front and sides depicting painted gallant and pastoral scenes. The figures wear typical 18th-century clothing. The chest's top is also made of stained marbled wood and follows the curved lines of the entire piece's structure. The gilded finishes and decorations on the drawers, sides, and legs feature plant and floral motifs.
