Sword of the 1896 model with gilt brass mount of Master of Arms. Pommel with lion's head with mane and long tail. Black knuckle filigree with silver thread. Single-branched bow with 3 central rings and straight quillon ending in a button. Oval keyboard without counter keyboard, bearing a shield with crossed sabers and radiant sun silver and surrounded by a wreath of foliage, the whole on red felt. Straight blade with its scarlet double-edged tie and ricasso with a heel of 13 cm and median edge etched in a third with acid on the 2 faces of foliage. In a cartouche, inscription "Léo Van Loon & Zoon - Breda" and hallmark on the ricasso of "Carl Eckhorn in Solingen". Black leather scabbard with 2 brass fittings.
