Refined 19th-century English garniture set, composed of a central mantel clock and two matching candlesticks.
The clock’s body is made of fine Witchwood porcelain, glazed in a soft sage green and adorned with a raised white enamel garland of flowers and leaves. The whole piece is enriched with chiseled gilt bronze elements, including a crest featuring an Apollonian sun-mask and musical trophies.
The dial, in white enamelled porcelain, features painted Arabic numerals and delicate floral swags. The oval base — shared by the two candlesticks — is crafted from Blue John, a rare purple-and-gold veined fluorite quarried exclusively in Derbyshire.
The candlesticks are also in gilt bronze, richly decorated with three-headed female caryatids and finely sculpted candle cups.
A splendid example of late Victorian neoclassicism, blending elegant design, rare materials and decorative virtuosity.
