A rare French hard-paste porcelain service composed of a coffee pot (height 25 cm), milk jug (height 19 cm), and saucers (diameter 12 cm), finely decorated with polychrome enamels, an amaranth background, and lavish gilding. Each piece features black reserves with allegorical neoclassical scenes, painted with extraordinary finesse.
The figures depict cupids and putti engaged in rituals, offerings, military training, and symbolic processions. The aesthetic draws on Greco-Roman antiquity, interpreted through the refined neoclassicism of the Napoleonic Empire. The compositions echo ancient cameos and Pompeian frescoes.
The spout of the coffee pot is sculpted as a feline head, a detail typical of luxury porcelain from Parisian workshops such as Dihl et Guérhard, Dagoty, or Darte Frères.
A highly refined and intellectual service, fully representative of the visual culture and splendor of the French Empire period.
