A large red field hosts a decoration of stylized flowers, animals, in shimmering colors, red, almond, blue, ivory as well as a multitude of carnations (symbol of beauty, youth, renewal, hope and peace) escape and dot the rest of the unoccupied field.
This very elaborate and classic design is there to remind us of the Persian style and its very present influence in this work, Persia (Iran) being neighboring these regions.
A great gaiety emerges from this rug, due to the liveliness of the colors.
The wide floral border with two braids is decorated with carnations and for the other band, botehs on the edge that stand out from a red background.
Each flower in succession, one from the other also alternates the color of their petals, passing from yellow to orange, to orange and yellow, blue, all this in a concern for good reading of the objects and flowers composing this marvelous carpet, in very good condition.
The fringes are short and clean.
Carpets prior to 1925 are defined in five groups: Kazakh, Karabakh or Sjirvan, Kuba and Daghestani.
Carpets from the Caucasus and Karabakh region often have soft patterns and are reminiscent of Persian carpets, which is the case for our model. Outside of this classification, there are also Ganja, Sile and Verni carpets.
These carpets are distinguished by their very varied and imaginative geometric patterns. Sometimes, in stylized form, we find animal figures or geometric and architectural patterns.
This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
