"Large Silver-plated Table Bell – Napoleon III, 19th Century"
Impressive silver-plated table bell, oval in shape with a gadrooned body, typical of the rocaille style in vogue during the Second Empire. This beautifully crafted piece is distinguished by its upper handle richly decorated with volutes, foliage and flowers, in the Louis XV style. The top is adorned with a finely chiseled rocaille handle, inspired by 18th-century goldsmithing, firmly attached to the bell. The body features a coat-of-arms engraving in the center, inscribed in a scrolled foliate cartouche, attesting to an aristocratic provenance or a personalized bourgeois commission.
