Ceramic nightlight depicting a small terrier dog, with glass eyes. The marking found under the figurine’s paws consists of the letters “ZB”, accompanied by the phrase “handpainted made in Japan”. This type of marking is typical of Japanese ceramics exported after World War II, especially between the 1950s and 1970s, a period during which Japan became renowned for its hand-painted decorative items intended for the Western market.
