French School of the 19th century. Oil on panel depicting a sunset on the banks of the Loire, with a barge at anchor. Signed lower left "Daubigny". Bears a label on the back from an exhibition at the Galerie Barbizon June / July 1973, no. 100 "DAUBIGNY CF Soleil couchant". Panel dimensions: 23 x 10 cm. 19th century canal frame. Charles-François DAUBIGNY (1817 - 1878), French painter and engraver. Reference painter of the Barbizon school, Romanticism movement and Impressionism.
