Two oils on canvas mounted on wood (most likely mahogany wood) These two paintings depict lively beach scenes. In the foreground the beach with figures all dressed up, the women protecting themselves with an umbrella. Boats in the distance. On one of them, a beach cabin, a boat on the other. The sky holds great importance.
The paintings are in good condition.
Period: late 19th or early 20th century
Origin: France
A signature difficult to read (perhaps Gallard?)
Thick frame in gilded and carved wood
Dimensions: 12.3 cm X 21.5 cm
Dimensions with the frame: 19cm X 27.6 cm and 18.2 cm X 28.2 cm One of the frames is slightly larger.
