Nickel-plated aluminum table lamp featuring a large circular shade tilted around a hemispherical reflector. The whole evokes a planetary shape, "Saturn." Light filters through small circular holes drilled into the cap, producing a discreet but graphic projection effect. The carefully machined material reinforces the industrial and visionary appearance of the object. France, circa 1930.
