Elegant Napoleon III style planter on foot, dating from the second half of the 19th century.

Made of blackened wood and richly decorated with finely chiseled gilded bronzes, this piece is distinguished by its circular top decorated with a superb hand-painted porcelain plaque. The decoration represents a bucolic scene with a bird in flight surrounded by flowers, in luminous tones of blue, pink and gold. The curved tripod base and the quality of the finishes testify to the refinement and taste for decorative art of this period.
