A gold and diamond vanity case, by Asprey, 1938 The 9 carat yellow gold engine turned case has five diamond thumbpieces, The mirror lined lid opening to reveal a note pad also containing a matching gold pencil. The solid gold pencil is signed by Samson & Mordan & Co. A famous pencil maker. The other side has a compartment used as a Powder Compact. The top sides and bottom of the case is engine turned and the sides have diamond thumbpieces to open and close it, this screams of quaity and opens and closes well.
